And especially since he's been in a bad place for 40 years! It's so easy to forget that Dean has a lot to recover from. I'm feeling more sympathetic to his pain as a character now that I'm rewatching the season, because at the time it just make me angry that he wasn't helping Sam! Now I have more sympathy about how they both came back damaged.
