10 Reasons I Love SPN
Lists! And, because I'm mourning the loss of #7, maybe #3, #9 and #10 , and hoping they will all return in full force in later episodes.
Ranked roughly from greatest to least. Mild SPOILERS
1. Cute guys—always easy on the eyes, and sometimes when the plot won't get me out of bed (or back into it, thank you Lavinia) Jared and Jensen will.
2. Fascinating characters—Sam and Dean, always
Pillars 1-3: because core Winchester motivators deserve their own adoration points.
3. Love—makes me squee
4. Self-Loathing—makes me weep
5. Obsession—makes me wail, like watching a train wreck of cosmic proportions, so horrible it's beautiful
6. Mutual obsession—primarily with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lavinialavender , but I'm gradually sinking into fandom one fellow fanatic at a time.
7. Humor—that wasn't an illusion, was it? This show really is funny, right?
8. Stereotype reversals—the "bad son" went to college, and the "good son" is a womanizing drinker; the made-for-TV horror show mocks the bad horror movie; angels, demons, family, werewolves, vampires, normal people, ancient gods and God, they are rarely just what they seem to be, or traditionally are.
9. Monsters—SPN used to scare me into keeping the lights on. And I do love a good rotting corpse, or ghost-flicker
10. Meta-crack—the high level of RANDOM and CRACK that the show introduced to itself, which means that we actually know how the characters react in absolutely bizarre situations, which means, in turn, that I can write them into bizarre situations and actually have a baseline of IC.
