Okay, apparently I can't leave this alone. Yes, both of the cats in this picture are female. But the colors of Sam would also have to be a female - the white on a calico is not X-linked, so doesn't 'count' when you look at how many colors are expressed in the coat. A cat with both cream and (probably) blue coat would need two X chromosomes, whether or not it's also white. As far as I can tell.
