Ah, this is lovely. I like Sam drifting off and almost enjoying the chance to die quietly and not have to go down swinging, but then pulling himself back because that's not who Sam Winchester is and that's not something he can do to Dean. And then Dean showing up and being awesome and protective and getting corrected on his awesome well-hung joke.
